Every shift starts with awareness…and awareness starts here.
The Enneagram isn’t just another personality test. It doesn’t stop at what you do, it shows you why.
The Enneagram is…
A personality assessment that explains WHY we do what we do.
Its roots stretch back centuries, drawing on ancient wisdom and philosophy and modern psychology and neurobiology. The system we know today was developed in the 20th century, and has been consistently researched, redefined, and widely applied in personal development, leadership, coaching, therapy, and organizational development.
Why It’s Used
Most personality assessments simply measure traits, behaviors, or strengths. The Enneagram looks at motivation. This helps us understand not just what we do, but why we do it.
This distinction is powerful, because behavior alone doesn’t tell the whole story. When we begin to understand why we do what we do - from our fears to our desires and unconscious patterns - we can begin to shape our lives with more intention and a sense of control.
This is why organizations, leaders, and individuals use it: because change at the level of behavior is temporary, but change at the level of motivation lasts.
Take the Assessment
There are a lot of different Enneagram assessments out there, but the iEQ9 is the most accurate, research-backed assessment on the market today. Used by coaches and organizations worldwide, it provides a robust personalized report that covers:
Your Enneagram type and subtype.
Core motivations, strengths, and blind spots.
Stress and growth patterns.
Practical strategies for development.
“As an Enneagram 6, I’ve always been driven by a need for security and reassurance, but I never fully understood why I reacted the way I did. Chelsea’s guidance through the Enneagram process was a game-changer. She helped me uncover the deeper motivations behind my behaviors and gave me practical tools to manage my fears and insecurities. With Chelsea’s support, I’ve gained a greater sense of self-awareness and feel more confident in my relationships and decision-making. The Enneagram has truly helped me grow, and I’m so grateful for Chelsea’s expertise!”

Why It Works
From a neurobiological perspective, The Enneagram taps into how our brains encode patterns of safety and survival. Each type reflects a distinct way the nervous system has learned to interpret the world and respond to stress, opportunity, and connection. These patterns are developed over our first 5 years of life, and are extremely efficient… until they’re not. These patterns can become limiting when we rely on them automatically.
By bringing our patterns into conscious awareness, the Enneagram disrupts our brain’s autopilot mode. This creates space for new choices - rewiring our habits over time through neuroplasticity.
When you can see the story your brain has been running, you can choose to tell a different one.

Mistyping happens more often than you think. It’s not a flaw in you, it’s part of the process. Here are a few reasons it can occur:
Low self-awareness. Sometimes we’re too close to our own patterns to see them clearly. The Enneagram shines a light on things we may not have words for yet.
Assessment limitations. Even with the best tools, no test is 100% perfect. The iEQ9 is the most reliable on the market, but personality is complex and can’t always be captured in a single snapshot.
Behaviors vs. motivations. Many people identify with the behaviors of a type without realizing their motivations are different. Since the Enneagram is about the “why,” this can cause confusion.
Life stage or stress. Depending on what season you’re in, you may lean into growth or stress behaviors that look like another type.
Distrust of the tool. Some people reject their type at first because it names things they don’t want to admit, or it doesn’t match the image they have of themselves.
Mistyping doesn’t mean the Enneagram “isn’t working.” It means there’s more to explore, and often, that exploration is where the deepest insights emerge.
If you’re unsure of your type, or your results don’t quite feel right, we can walk through your iEQ9 report together in a 1:1 coaching session.
I’ll help you interpret your results, ask the right questions, and connect the dots between your patterns and your motivations.

Then we’re probably on to something! :)
It’s actually pretty common to be turned off buy your results. Sometimes the Enneagram shines a light on blind spots we’d rather avoid. But that’s also where the real growth begins. The insights that challenge us are often the ones we need most.
It’s also possible that the assessment is incorrect. While it’s rated at 95-98% accuracy, there’s still a chance we got it wrong.
If your results aren’t landing for you, please reach out and we can:
1) Walk you through your results, and/or
2) Re-assess, if necessary.

No. Your core Enneagram type doesn’t change. It reflects the deep motivations and patterns you’ve developed early in life as a way of navigating the world.
What does change is your level of self-awareness and how you express your type. With growth, you might notice yourself becoming more flexible, resilient, and balanced. Under stress, you might slip into less helpful patterns. That’s why two people of the same type can look very different depending on their maturity, life stage, and circumstances.
Think of it this way: your type is like the operating system. It stays the same, but with awareness and practice, you can update the apps, fix the glitches, and use it in a healthier way.
